Lauren Robinson, PsyD

Lauren Robinson PsyD. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been providing general psychology services in the greater New Orleans area since 2014. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, community mental health centers, public schools, and both residential and intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment centers. She also specializes in equine-assisted psychotherapy where horses are employed as therapeutic tools in clinical interventions.
Dr. Robinson graduated from Loyola University New Orleans following completion of an undergraduate practicum in pediatric psychology at the New Orleans Children’s Hospital. She then received her masters and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Argosy University San Francisco Bay Area. Her internship focused on the provision of culturally competent and empirically supported psychological services for diverse populations.
Dr. Robinson currently provides individual and group psychotherapy in addition to cognitive and psychological assessments for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. She takes an integrative approach drawing from evidence-based practices to provide the most effective treatment for each individual’s unique needs. Dr. Robinson also conducts pre-procedural evaluations for medical procedures such as weight loss surgery and spinal cord stimulator implantation, and is experienced in treating a wide variety of psychological and behavioral conditions including:
